Update 4/16/2024: Just uploaded a new round of goodies - I know it has been a little while! My cousin and his family are staying with us for almost 3 months so things are moving more slowly on the porcelain front. Lots of nice pieces on the site so have a look around if you'd like to. Here is a neat quote by an unknown person which I find quite true - "You don't spend your money - you transfer your assets." Definitely fits this hobby - as good porcelain has always held or increased its value.

About the porcelain:

There are lots of different pieces from all over the world on this site. I try to find rare smaller makers, interesting early pieces and the occasional odd piece to make it interesting to browse and also more of a learning tool rather than just a site to buy from. I try my best with the descriptions but no one is perfect so if you think I got something wrong just send me an email with your opinion. If you buy and item and it should not be as described you have 30 days after receiving it to return it for a full refund including return shipping off course.

About me:

My name is Matthias Blume but most people just call me Matt. I have amassed a fairly large collection over the years and would like to continue collecting - thus I started to sell some pieces. I was born in Germany and grew up there but have been in the US for a long time and am a citizen. I have a degree in chemistry from Rutgers University. My favorite figures are made by Nymphenburg and my favorite dishes by KPM. I started with German porcelain but in recent years got interested in pieces from all over Europe and a few other places.

My hope for this site is that it will serve as a great learning and reference tool for beginners and more advanced collectors as well. There are so many fakes out there these days that books don't really give you all the answers. This site is a do it yourself project and I am enjoying it but it is slow going - So if you find any quirks or anything you would recommend adding or changing - send me an email.
