Allach Gentleman Figurine

This is a figurine of a gentleman made by Allach in about 1939 and is called Friesicher Bauer. Allach porcelain items are quite rare especially these types of figures. The Moriskendancer is the most famous and even of those there were only about 75 made with less surviving today. The figures like this gentleman here is extremely rare. The quality of the piece is superb but obviously and rightfully there is a negative stigma attached to these pieces as Allach was the porcelain maker of Nazi Germany. They only made porcelain from 1935 until 1945. The figure was modelled by one of their most famous designers - Richard Förster . It is of a farmer with rather Aryan features wearing a nice suit and holding his hat by his side. It is very well modeled with lots of details and looks great. Of the few pieces made of this model I know of only one other one out there. It is model number 52. The figurine is 9 inches tall, 2.875 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. It is marked with the impressed stylized SS runes mark, the model number 52 as well as the artists name as shown. It is in perfect condition with a rough spot under the front of the coat where a firing support was attached - the is normal and a tiny black firing spot on his shoulder as shown.
