Althaldensleben Footed Cup & Saucer #2

This is a superb cup and saucer set made by Althaldensleben in about 1830. Althaldensleben was started by Gottlob Nathusius in about 1814 as an earthenware factory but soon (about 1826) converted to porcelain making. After his death in 1836 the factory was closed. It is rare to find pieces by this maker as they only made porcelain for ten years. The cup has a nice shape with a handle including what looks like a 4 leaved clover and 4 claw feet. Nice gold design some of which is on a cobalt blue ground. The set is marked with the underglaze blue line mark underneath. The cup has the number 46 (I think) impressed underneath. The cup has a saying " Nimm's freundlich an " - accept it with kindness. The cup is 3.125 inches tall plus the handle and 3.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.75 inches tall and 5.75 inches in diameter. The set is in perfect condition with just a tiny bit of wear. Please email me for more information or photos.
