Nathusius Nude Lady Pipe

This is a porcelain pipe bowl made by Althaldensleben in Germany in the first half of the 19th century. The bowl is handpainted with a superb portrait of a nude lady (likely Magdalena) with long blond hair sitting in a ladnscape surrounding with a book in front of her held up by a skull. The quality of the painting is top notch! The pipe is in superb condition. Nice fancy lid. The pipe was smoked but I cleaned most of it out. It is marked on the bottom end with a blue line as well as an impressed number 8 on the piece sticking out the front. The pipe is 4.875 inches tall and 1.375 inches in diameter.
