Altrohlau Creamware Plate

This is a rare plate made by Altrohlau in 1826 so pretty much as early as it gets for them. It is made of some sort of creamware / earthenware which makes sense since Nowotny didn't produce porcelain until 1838. The plate is marked with the impressed Nowotny mark as well as XXVI for the year mark and something else I cannot make out underneath. The plate is handpainted with colorful scene in the center of a putti with a dove in his hand sitting on a piece of column in a landscape surrounding. Small flowers all along the rim. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.125 inches in diameter. The plate is in decent condition with a bit of wear and flaking to the column part as well as five chips along the edge which would be an easy fix if need be. Still a must have being so early and quite nice for this maker. Please email me for more information or photos.
