Homer Laughlin 1939 Worlds Fair Plate

This is a neat plate made by Homer Laughlin in 1939. It has a superb Art Deco design for the Worlds Fair in New York in 1939 on it. It was a souvenir item back then and is one of the nicest plates from the fair if not the nicest! The plate was designed by Charles Murphy on the 150th anniversary of the inauguration of George Washinton as our 1st president so 1789 to 1939. It is marked with all this info on a gold circle in the back and underneath that with the makers mark in gold as well as Made in U.S.A. (surprised it wasn't made in China! - I know that came later :) The plate is in great condition with very little wear. It is 0.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 10 inches.
