Amstel Floral Saucer

This is a superb saucer made by Amstel in the early 19th century around 1809. It is hand painted with nice floral arrangement in the center including a nice pansy that seemed to have been a favorite flower of theirs. Three single flowers along the rim and a simple gold trim to the edge. The saucer is in great condition with just some minimal wear to the gilding along the edge and a star glaze line near the mark as shown. It does not go through to the other side! Really as good as it gets for this age! A very nice example and a very hard to find one for this rare maker. The piece is marked with the rarely used over glaze black script Amstel mark as well as an incised mark that looks a bit like a fishing hook. The piece is 1 inch tall and 5 inches in diameter.
