Amstel Fruit Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by Amstel in about 1809. It is handpainted with a nice scene of a fruit basket with fruit and berries spilling out onto the grass and an elaborate gold trim. There is a lemon (cut in half on the cup), some pear, peaches, blackberries, cherries, strawberries and so on. Both pieces are in perfect condition which is always a plus :) They are marked with the above glaze black Amstel mark rarely used. The cup also has the incised script L mark often found on porcelain by the Dutch makers from Loosdrecht to Amstel. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and the same in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1749
