Ansbach Floral Cup

This is a nice single cup made by Ansbach around 1770. They started making porcelain around 1758 and the factory flourished from 1758 through 1777 after which it closed somewhere around 1860. The piece is marked with the under glaze blue A mark underneath as shown. The cup is hand painted with a nice colorful floral arrangement on one side and small single flowers to the other side as well as inside bottom. Typical handle shape and it also has a relief to the paste which looks superb! Gold trim to the handle and top and bottom. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. It is in good condition but has some chipping along the footring which is not overly distracting when on display and wear to the gold trim along the top edge.
