Scenic Knife

This is a superb knife most likely made in Germany in the late 18th century or early 19th century. I am not sure by whom but it might be from the Thuringia region or Ludwigsburg or possibly Swiss. The knife handle is made of hard paste porcelain and is handpainted with two superb scenes. The porcelain itself has four sections with grooves in between. The quality of the painting is top notch. The metal parts are steel but they are later replacements! The metal does not go all the way through the handle which is a good clue to figure out the maker. The knife is in perfect condition. The piece is unmarked or at least not visibly marked which is always the case. The knife is 8.5 inches long of which the handle is about 3.375 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
