Bayeux Figural Spice Dish

This is a a superb figural spice dish made by Bayeux during the Langlois period around 1830. Not a piece I ahve seen before but they have different version of this sort of dish that are all amazing. I really like their style and it is unlike any other European porcelain. Here we have an Asian couple probably meant to be spice merchants sitting with a basket between them and three spice pots in front. The entire piece is heavily deocrated in a Chinoiserie style with thick raised enamels meant to imitate CHinese decorations but with a distinctive French influence. Each pot has a different design to it and the basket has some vines growing along the front and the same vine is all around the edge of the base as well. A bit of gold trim to the pots and basket. The Asian couple are both wearing a very detailed robe and he has a nice hat on his head. A superb piece that looks amazing on display! The piece is in superb condition with some wear to the gold trim, a very minor chip to a point of his hat and a hairline across the wrist of his hand on top of the basket. In the back there is an area where the colors have flaked off as shown and a firing crack to the udnerside only. Nothing major and the piece displays superbly! The dish is not marked but that is normal and it is unquestionably by Bayeux! It is 5.25 inches tall, 7.5 inches wide and 5.25 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
