Fat-Tailed Sheep Figurine

This is a superb figurine of a fat-tailed sheep likely made in Germany in the late 18th to mid 19th century. Fat-tailed sheep are a delicacy for the tail end in the Middle-Eastern world. Sadly the figurine is unmarked and this makes a perfect attribution very difficult but the sheep is of superb quality and the modelling is exceptional which certainly makes it stand out from the crowd. The fur is superb and it even has teeth and the underside of the hooves. The figure is 7.25 inches tall, 10.25 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. It is in perfect condition with the old supports from the firing process still showing where they were broken off underneath the belly and neck. An amazing animal figurine.
