Slop Bowl

This is a waste or slop bowl made by Chelsea around 1754. It is made of softpaste porcelain and handpainted with two nice floral arrangement as well as lots of single flowers scattered throughout. The flowers are in the German style which is superb. The rim has a brown trim to the edge. The bowl is in great condition with a tight faint hairline as shown. It is stable and not very obvious at all. There is some wear to the glaze on the bottom inside normal to softpaste pieces and a glaze line to the underside that does not go through also normal to Chelsea pieces since the glaze was fairly thick. The piece is marked with the tiny red anchor underneath as shown and it has the three typical spur marks on the back from firing and the moons when you shine a light through it. It is 3 inches tall and has a diameter of 6.125 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
