Chronos Scene Pipe

This is a pipe bowl made in Germany in the first half of the 19th century. It is hand painted with transfer printed details and outlines with a scene of Chronos - the Greek god of time. If you collect clocks or watches this would be a neat piece to go with that collection. He is portrayed with his long white bears wearing a loose green clocak with a clock by his side. Have not seen this scene on a pipe before so definitely a bit unusual. A good quality piece. The scene is surrounded by a gold trim which has worn over time as shown. Cork to the bottom around the stem to hold it in place in the other parts of a pipe which I do not have. The pipe is not marked but definitely of German origin. It is 4 inches long and has a top diameter of 1.125 inches. It flares out a bit and is around 1.25 inches in diameter around the widest part. The piece is in great condition except for the gold wear. Please email me for more information or photos.
