Flora Danica Pickle Dish

This is a pickle dish made by Royal Copenhagen in 1956 if I read the date code correctly. Sadly not an original 18th century set of their most famous service, the Flora Danica or Danish Flowers service which is one of the most famous services ever made. It is still in the hands of their Royalty even today. This dish hereis hand painted in the typical style of a gold pointy edge all around with a some pink highlights and flowers as well as leaves with the bottom inside having a nice large white and pink flower called Saxifraga var. oxypetala Engl. which I think stands for what is commonly known as rockfoils and they come in a variety of colors, etc. Gorgeous little flowers. A nice white and pink flower with pink buds and green leaves along the stem and off course the root at the bottom. The piece is in perfect condition and is marked underneath with the three wavy blue lines in under glaze blue as well as various other marks including painters marks as shown in the pictures. There is also the Latin name of the flower hand written in black as is normal for their wares from this service. The pickle dish is 1.25 inches tall plus the handle which sticks up about 0.5 inches, 6.375 inches long including the handle and 3.125 inches wide. A really nice looking dish! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
