Giant Couple Figurine

This is a superb and quite large figurine made by Royal Copenhagen in 1937 if I figured out the date code correctly. The mark is not super clear but the line does appear to be above the letter Y which would date it to 1937. The figurine is called the wave & rock figurine or the kiss or even kiss on the beach. It is of a nude lady kissing a nude gentleman that has his hands tied behind his back. It is from the story of Prometheus kissing a sea nymph. The figures are sitting on some rocks that have waves hitting the sides. The piece was first modeled by Theodor Lundberg probably in 1897 given the impressed artist mark to the back of the piece. Model #1132. A very nicely modeled figure that is of a rare size in the world of porcelain, quite heavy and and hand painted to perfection in their typical under glaze colors. The piece is in superb condition with a glaze flaw under his hards that does not show when on display. It is marked underneath with the three wavy blue lines with some letters next to it, Royal copenhagen around a crown in green with Denmark below, model numer 1132 and some impressed numbers and letters as shown. The piece is about 18.5 inches tall, 10.5 inches wide and 8.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
