Copenhagen Lidded Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer with a lid made by Royal Copenhagen in about 1785-1790. Had it looked at by a Copenhagen expert and curator of their museum. The set is handpainted with birds sitting on tree branches as well as some insects and a nice gold trim. The set is in good condition with a chip and associated hairline to the saucer, a piece of the branch of the finial on the lid missing and some of the gold trim has been redone. The lid doesn't fit perfectly but that is an uncontrollable part of the firing process. Both pieces are marked with the three wavy blue lines as well as some impressed numbers like 7 over A. It's a bit hard to make out. The cup and lid are 4.25 inches tall and 3.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. This set is superb and displays very nicely! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
