Copenhagen Figural Needle Case

This is a fun needlecase made by Royal Copenhagen in the late 19th century. It is in the shape of a swaddled baby and is handpainted nicely with a green ground color with flowers on it, orange bows and gold highlights. A superb quality piece one doesn't come across often at all. The colors are nicer than the pics show - still learning the ins and outs of the new camera! The piece is in perfect condition except for the sterling silver lid being tarnished. The case is marked on the inside with the three wavy blue lines mark as shown and the lid has the sterling marks on it, etc. The piece is 3.5 inches tall, 1.25 inches wide and 1 inch deep.
