Copenhagen Portrait Cup & Saucer #2

This is a second rare cup and saucer made by Royal Copenhagen in about 1820. The cup has a handpainted portrait of Frederik the Sixth of Denmark who was the King of Denmark from 1808 until 1839. The portrait is painted in shades of grey which was more common around this time. I have never seen portrait cups by them but am sure they are in museums somewhere. The gilding is top quality with lots of detail even in the gilding itself. The cup and saucer are in perfect display condition but I have had two small chips restored perfectly as well as some flaked of gilding. Now it is almost as good as it was when first made with a tiny bit of wear and two glaze lines underneath the saucer in the center but they are just in the glaze and not on the other side! Both pieces are marked with the three blue lines mark with the dot as well as some impressed numbers like a 7 and a mark underneath the cup I cannot quite figure out. The cup is 3.375 inches tall plus the handle and 3.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5.375 inches in diameter. This set is superb and displays very nicely! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
