Copenhagen Superb Scenic Cup & Saucer

This is a rare and amazing scenic cup and saucer made by Royal Copenhagen in about 1820. The cup has a handpainted scene on the front of the cup of a mother sitting in a chair with her child dancing in front of her in a landscape surrounding including two fountains. There is a lyre next to the chair. The scene is of amazing quality and surrounded by a nice gold trim. A superb gold trim around the handle with some amazing detail to it, nice handle and even more gilding on the inside of the cup. Only Royal Copenhagen did this kind of amazing gilding! The saucer has the same gold designwith some additions but they are definitely a set! The cup and saucer are in perfect display condition but the cup has a small chip to the foot and an impossible to spot small hairline that took me forever to find! Does not take away from the piece at all! The gilding is oxidized a bit which is normal. Neither piece is marked but that is not uncommon as I have come across other cups by them that were unmarked as well. There is an incised 2 underneath the saucer as shown. The cup is 3.375 inches tall and 4.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 6.125 inches in diameter. This is an amazing cup and saucer!
