Knife & Fork Set

This is a very rare matching knife and fork pair where the porcelain handle was made by Royal Copenhagen and the metal parts by the silversmith Anton Michelsen which is now part of Georg Jensen . It is hard to date but given the mark still used Danmark in the silver hallmarks rather then Denmark it likely dates to the earlier 20th century. The porcelain handle have a strawflower like design called Blue Fluted and it is quite difficult to find silverware in this design but you can find dishes quite easily and they are very sought after! The fork metal parts are all Sterling silver and the the knife ferrule is as well but the actual knife is stainless steel and marked A. Michelsen Denmark Raadvad Stainless which the ferrule and fork are marked 925S A.Michelsen Danmark. The porcelain is not visibly marked. This superb set in perfect condition. The fork is 6.375 inches long of which the visible part of the handle is about 2.875 inches. The knife is 6.625 inches long of which the visible part of the handle is about 2.75 inches. A smaller than usual set likely for a child or petit lady. If you have any other questions or need more photos just send me a note!
