Triton Teapot

This is a great tea or coffee pot with its lid made by Royal Copenhagen in about 1980. I really thought this piece was a redo of an earlier design but it is from the original period - first designed in the late 70's by Arje Griegst . It is called Triton or Konkylie, the shape based on shell, water and ripple forms, this being the rare early pink striped version. The pink was made from gold so it got too expensive and thus the white predominated shortly after its introduction. A really fun design that belongs in any collection as one day it will be a top collectible if not already! The pot and its lid are in perfect condition. The piece is marked underneath as shown with the usual Copenhagen marks. The pot including the lid is about 9 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and about 10 inches from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
