Dihl et Guerhard Reticulated Basket #2

This is a really nice reticulated basket made by one of the Paris region makers in the late 18th or early 19th century. The porcelain is really of a good quality and quite white. The basket has a nice reticulated side to it, a superb hand painted blue cornflower designs to the inside bottom, a ring of blue cornflowers to the outside bottom edge, a handle to each side and some gold trim to finish this basket of perfectly. An elegant and useful item. The piece is in perfect condition with a few minor firing issues common to these early pieces and a bit of very minor gold wear to the gold trim on the top edge but all in all as nice as they come! The basket is 3.25 inches tall and 8.375 inches in diameter. Marked on the underside with the red Guerhard et Dihl a Paris mark as shown as well as an incised letter D. I have a second matching basket if anyone would be interested in a rare pair. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
