Dutch Delftware Scenic Lidded Jar

This is a polychrome Dutch Delft lidded vase made in the Netherlands in the 18th century. It was made by a factory called " De Vergulde Blompot " and is collectively known as Delftware and is made of a tin glazed earthenware I believe. The vase is hand painted with a nice scene to the front of a gentleman walking his dog in front of a palatial gate. Nice design around the scene with a flower to the top and bottom. A green design to the back side. The vase comes with its lid which is decorated with a matching design and has a ncie bird finial to the top. Hard to find these early pieces nowadays. The set is in decent condition with chips to the bottom and top edge of the main body as shown. The lid has been restored all along the edge which has chipped again and the bird finial is restored. Not sure there is much original left on that bird since it is fully repainted for sure. Still nice to have the original lid as they are often long gone! The lidded jar displays nciely! The piece is marked with the B:P: in under glaze blue as shown. The vase and lid are about 13 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
