Polychrome Floral Majolica Plate

This is an early majolica plate made by an unknown maker in the 18th century. I don't know much about this sort of ware but it is a nice early example of good quality. Likely Italian though the design reminds me more of the Staffordshire region of England and it might be English as well. Maybe someone out there could help me out with it. The plate is hand painted with a nice floral design in the center in polychrome - mostly red and green with a bit of yellow. Smaller flwoers along the rim and a red design along the edge. The piece displays superbly but it had a piece broken out and repaired as shown as well as some chipping of the glaze along the edge. It has stilt marks to the top as well as the udnerside for firing purposes though one usually does not see it on the top side so that was surprising to me. The plate is marked on the underside with a black S as shown. It is 1.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.375 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
