Bold Color Set

This is a 1815 complete tea set London shape very bold design. It is a complete early 19th century British china teaset identified only by pattern number 44, in a striking pattern that brightens up the whole room. The set includes the teapot and lid with stand, sugar bowl and lid, creamer, 8 cups and saucers, two bowls and a waste bowl, all matching. The decoration is in excellent condition, with very little wear. An amazing set not only because it’s complete but because of the boldness of the decoration. Looks splendid on display, as you can see in the photos.
Condition notes: one cup has a small rim chip; one cup has a scratch on the side (colored in); the creamer has a hairline on one side; one cup has a hairline in the bottom; the sugar has a spider crack on one side, the rim has a manufacturing flaw on the top edge (glazed over) and the lid has a chip and a manufacturing flaw (glazed over); also, the handles of the sugar are stained; the teapot has a chip and small hairline on the bottom edge, and the spout has had a repair to one side of the tip; the teapot lid has a small colored-in chip. Some pieces show light staining. I haven’t tried to clean them. There is a small chain included which came out of the spout, probably from a teaball. I don’t know how it got in the spout but it had been in there for years, so it will stay with the set. I couldn’t find an exact match for the shape of this teapot in Berthoud or my other references, and I couldn’t trace the pattern number. It appears to be bone china of a type made by many companies around this time. This is a set owned by a good friend of mine. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
