English Butterfly Plate

This is a neat plate made by one of the better English makers in 1869. Not sure who made it but likely Mintons or Copeland or one of those types of makers. It has a neat shape with the outside rim made to look like a ribbon - maybe the original ribbon plate :) That is painted in turquoise, then a gold 'pearl' rim with a gold leaf design and the center has a gold medallion with a nice butterfly in it. A very good quality piece! The plate is in great condition with a tiny bit of wear to the gilding and some crazing to the turquoise part. The plate is marked underneath with the English registry diamond mark as well as an incised kite shaped mark and a red B over 3158 as a model number. The piece is 0.625 inches tall and 9.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
