Angel Wall Bracket Shelf

This is a superb figural shelf very likely made by an American maker or at least for the american market and definitely made in the mid to late 19th century. It is made of Parian porcelain and thus does not ahve a glaze on it and is very well modeled and of good quality. I have a version of this that has an eagle intead of the angel supporting the shelf as is the case. The head of the angel is supported by the angel's wings on either side with the shelf resting on top. Just a stunning look! Certainly a very fun and unusual piece. The entire shelf is in superb condition with a tiny chip to the end of one feather and a flat chip to the top edge of the top most feather sticking out on the right side. Neither is visible when on display and it displays perfectly! There are also a few very minor firing flaws as one would expect from a piece of this age and it being unglazed. Oddly enough it is unmarked which during this period I would have expected some sort of mark on the piece. The piece is 7.125 inches from top to bottom, 4.75 inches deep and 7.125 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
