Angel Wall Bracket Shelf #2

This is a superb figural wall shelf / bracket shelf likely made by an English maker for the AMerican market or even possibly by an American maker. Definitely made in the mid to late 19th century and of very nice quality. This same maker also made a similar shelf held up by an eagle. The piece is made of Parian porcelain and thus does not have a glaze on it and is very well modeled and of good quality. The shelf is supported by the angel's head with its wings on either side with the shelf resting on top. Just a stunning look! Certainly a very fun and unusual piece. Would look amazing on the wall with some nice vase or figurine on top for example. The entire shelf is in great condition with a small chip to the middle right corner and another one to the top right feather closest to the shelf part as shown. There is a bit of a rough spot to the bottom left feather end but it looks to have been made this way. A firing crack in the center of the left wing from when it was made. The piece displays perfectly and looks superb! Oddly enough it is unmarked which during this period I would have expected some sort of mark on the piece. I have owned one of these as well as the eagle version before and they have never been marked but the quality is really nice so it is a bit surprising! The shelf is 6.875 inches from top to bottom, 4.625 inches deep and 6.875 inches wide. I have a second matching piece that is also up on the site if anyone is interested in a super rare pair. They would make an awesome addition to any collection! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
