Coalport John Rose Teapot

This is teapot made by Coalport , John Rose factory in about 1805. It is not marked but the shape of the handle and finial give it away quite easily. The piece is nicely handpainted with some flowers as well as superb rim design in polychrome. Puce trim to finial, spout and handle and a nice wavy design to the porcelain on the sides. The pot and lid are in decent condition with the finial having been broken off and restored back on, some crazing, a very minor chip to the top rim and a hairline crack that starts at the underside and extends halfway up the side of the pot. All in all in good shape and it displays very nicely! The teapot is 6.5 inches tall to the top of the finial, 5 inches wide and 10 inches long from handle to spout.
