Faubourg St. Denis Amazing Plate

This is a really superb plate made by Faubourg St.-Denis of the Paris region of France in the later 18th century. The factory was founded by Peter Anton Hannong and it was under the protection of Charles Philippe Comte d'Artois. This is as nice a plate as I have ever seen by them. A superb example of what they could do! Schoelcher owned a factory here later on and this piece matches that quality or even that of Darte Freres. The plate is nicely hand painted with top quality scene in the center including three children sitting under a tree in a landscape surrounding including a house and fence in the background and a small stream in front. The rest of the plate has that amazing dark cobalt blue ground to it and lots and lots of fancy gilding. That blue and gold combo is always stunning! The plate is in superb condition with just a touch of wear to the scene and gold ring right around the scene but amazingly that fancy gold trim is all in perfect shape! The piece displays superbly! The piece is marked with a gold CP under a crown mark as shown. The dish is 1.125 inches tall and 9.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
