1782 Floral Plate #1

This is a nice plate made by Frankenthal in 1782. The plate has a nice shape to it with the indents along the rim, a bit of a relief design to the paste along the edge, gold trim to the edge and some superb hand painted flowers to the plate. The center has a large floral arrangement to it including a nice carnation flower and there are a few different smaller flowers scattered about and even a little leaf. The plate is marked with the CT mark under the crown in under glaze blue as shown, some incised letters and numbers along the foot ring and an under glaze blue 82 for the year mark on the foot itself. The plate is 9.625 inches in diameter and in great condition with a tiny chip to the very edge as shown which could be completely hidden with a touch of gilding and a bit of wear to the gilding. In amazing shape if you consider the age and that these were meant to be used back then. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $349
