Bird Scene Plate

This is a great plate made by Frankenthal in 1787. It is hand painted with a large bird scene in the center with lots of small scattered flowers throughout. The center scene includes two birds sitting on a tree with a bit of a landscape design around that. Very nice! Nice rim shape highlighted with a brown edge trim. These pieces are rather hard to find made by Frankenthal so it was a must have for me :) Very elegant and of good quality. The plate is marked with the CT mark under the crown in underglaze blue as well as an incised F and 1 and a blue 87 on the footring. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.5 inches. It is in great condition with some very minor to the brown trim on the rim. Display perfectly! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
