Early Plate

This is a plate made by Frankenthal in 1757 during the early period. In terms of porcelain this is a very simple plate but at the same time very elegant. Nothing to distract from what porcelain is all about. The painting and shapes. The bowl is handpainted with a nice floral arrangement as well as two small flowers and there are three flowers painted on the rim as well. The plate is marked with the underglaze blue lion mark used only until 1762. There is also an impressed PHI near the footring. The plate is 1.375 inches tall and 8.875 inches in diameter. It is in superb original condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
