Figural Spice Dish

This is a really nice figural spice dish made by Frankenthal in the 18th century - 1777 to be exact. The dish is superbly modeled and painted in the typical Frankenthal fashion of the period. It has a figure of a gentleman sitting in the center of two bowls on a typical base for this maker with some grasses and scrolls highlighted with gilding around the edge. The gentleman is holding a flower in his left hand and a short floral garland in his right. He is nicely dressed. The piece is 4.125 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 3.125 inches deep. The figure is marked with the CT under the crown in under glaze blue underneath with a blue 77 as the year mark. The dish is in great condition the flower in the left hand of the figurine having been restored, some minor damage to the floral garland, a small chip to the edge of the right bowl, a firing flaw to the bottom of the right bowl and one handle of the lef bowl having been perfectly restored. The piece displays perfectly and looks amazing! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
