Floral Plate w/ Some Wear #1

This is a nice early plate made by Frankenthal in about 1770. The porcelain blank has a nice basketweave relief pattern to the rim and is hand painted with a large floral arrangement to the center plus many smaller single flowers throughout. Gold trim to the rim. The plate is marked with the CT mark under the crown in under glaze blue as well as the letter B and another mark in blue with gold over the other mark as shown. Also some incised marks as shown. The plate is 1.625 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter. The piece is in good condition with no chips but there is some wear to the flowers and gilding and firing discoloration in the basket weave design to the rim from when it was made. It displays nicely and is still a superb example of their work! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $199
