Floral Plate w/ Some Wear #2

This is a nice early plate made by Frankenthal in about 1770. The porcelain blank has a nice basketweave relief pattern to the rim and is hand painted with a large floral arrangement to the center plus many smaller single flowers throughout. Gold trim to the rim. The plate is marked with the CT mark under the crown in under glaze blue as well as two blue dots, a puce painter's mark AH and some incised marks as shown. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and 9.375 inches in diameter. The piece is in good condition with no chips but there is some wear to the flowers and gilding at all the little raised flaws to the paste that were over painted plus one spot of paint flaking in the green of a flower as can be seen in the pictures. It displays nicely and is still a superb example of their work! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $199
