Flower Pot

This is a nice ice pail / fruit cooler / flower pot / jadiniere / cache pot made by Frankenthal in 1787. Originally it would have most likely had an incert and a lid but I am always amazed these things survived this long the way they are! The piece has a nice shape to it with a handle to each side with a bit of brown trim, has a large hand painted floral arrangement on the front and back side that are very well done and some scattered small flowers and leaves on the sides to fill in the rest of the spaces. The pot is marked with the crown over CT mark in underglaze blue with three dots under it, an underglaze blue 87 as well as an incised W and the number 3. It is in decent condition with wear to the inside from use, as well as a small and a large chip to the top edge as shown. Still displays nicely and would look amazing with some flowers in it. The piece is 6.625 inches tall and 7.5 inches in diameter plus the handle which stick out about 0.75 inches on either side. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $749
