Indian Flowers Plate

This is a plate made by Frankenthal in the 18th century probably around 1770. It has a nice basketweave relief pattern to the rim and a great handpainted large indian flowers type design to the center with some flowers and leaves on the rim. Gold trim to the rim. The central design is not something you see often and is really quite stunning! The plate is marked with the CT mark under the crown in underglaze blue as well as an incised HI. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.5 inches. It is in great condition with some stacking wear and wear to the gold trim but no real damage. The underside has some manufacturing flaws in the form of small firing spots and lumps, etc. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
