Frankenthal Putto w/ Sickle Figurine

This is a nice figure made by Frankenthal in the 18th century. The figurine is of a putto with some wheat and a sickle representing Fall of the four seasons. The model is still made by Nymphenburg today since they purchased the original Frankenthal molds after the factory closed. The putto is wearing a hat and standing on a typical base with some gold scrolls to it. The piece is in good condition but has had work done to his hat, the flower on the hat, the sickle is a painted metal replacement and there are some minor chips to the wehat tips and green leaves mixed in with the wheat. I think his big toe on the front foot has also been worked on. The piece displays superbly and is a rare survivor from the good old days of porcelain! The figure is 4.625 inches tall, 1.5 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Marked under the base with the under glaze blue CT under a crown as well as the number 7. Not sure of the exact year since the numbers are usual double digits for the year mark. Might be for 1767 so a nice early piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
