Trompe L'Oeil Faux Bois Saucer

This is a superb saucer made by Frankenthal in 1776. It is hand painted with a superb wood grain aka Faux Bois design with a black scene in the center meant to look like a poster or postcard attached to a wooden wall. Superb quality all around and a bit different from the usual designs :) The saucer is in great condition with a touch of wear and a tiny flat chip to the outer edge as shown. The saucer is marked with the CT under a crown as well as a 76 in blue as the year mark and some incised marks as shown. The piece is 1.25 inches tall and 5.5 inches in diameter.
