Amazing Scenic Bough Pot

This is a really fancy bough or bulb pot made by one of the Paris makers around the early 19th century. Possibly by Locre / La Courtille and definitely one of the fanciest flower pots I have seen! It is nicely hand painted on all 4 sides with a different superb scene including people and animals in a landscape surrounding. Very nice quality scenes! Fancy gold trim around each scene and the base with the main body sitting on the base using four claw feet as well as a central column. My favorite part however are the egyptian type lady busts used as finials in each corner. The flower pot is not marked underneath but that is common for Paris pieces of this time period. The piece including the finials is about 9 inches tall and 7 inches at the widest so fairly large! It is in decent condition and displays nicely but has some damage. It is missing the lid which would have most likly been a pyramid shaped piece. I could only find one similar example by Turner of England which was said to have been based on a French model so that is what I am basing the lid shaped on. There are three small flat chips to the base, one of the base corners has been restored a little bit, a firing crack in the support column underneath and the bust finials have been regilded on top and all but one have either a restored chip or chips that are not restored. Most are easily repaired but one bust is missing part of its face because of the size of the chip. Still an amazing piece and deserves a make over for sure!
