Blue Cornflower Handles

This is a set of four knife / fork handles made of porcelain in the late 18th or early 19th century. Definitely made in France . They are hand painted with blue corn flowers (I do believe this was a favorite of Marie Antoinette 's) and have a bit of gold trim to the sides and end. Each piece is in good condition with some very minor wear and a little chipping around the end where the metal hardware would go into which would have been covered by the ferrule. They are very nice and I don't recall ever having seen this kind of pattern for handles. They are hard paste porcelain. The porcelain handles are 3.875 inches long of which 3.75 inches would show once the knife part is attached. Each handle is 0.75 inches wide and 0.5 inches thick. Neither piece has any markings on it. I would sell them individually or as a set. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $99 per handle
