French Enamel on Copper Piece

This is a mystery piece! I am sure it was made in France and likely in the Limoges region in the mid to late 19th century. I am thinking it is a dainty umbrella handle but I am not sure. It is a superb translucent red enamel on copper with an enamel scene of a cherub holding a letter with some clouds under it. There is silver and gold overlay around the scene on top of the red enamel. It must have been a stunning look originally when it was part of whatever it was part of. Great quality piece for sure! It is in great condition with the silver parts being tarnished from age which is normal. Could most likely be polished. One area of minor cracks to the red enamel at the edge of the wider opening and the edges are a little roudh. Likely that would have been hid by whatever it was part of - an end cap on the one end for sure! Unmarked but that is normal on this sort of item. The piece is 2.375 inches long, 0.75 inches in diameter at the bigger end and just over 0.5 inches in diameter at the smaller end. Never seen anything like it and it's really nice! Please email me for more information or photos.
