French Floral Faience Teapot

This is a nice early faience teapot made in France in the 18th century. It has a great shape to it with a fancy handle and spout. A nice hand painted large puce floral arrangement to one side of the main body with a smaller floral arrangement to the other side. Soem scattered leaves to hide paste flaws. Some puce flowers to the spout as well as lid with puce trim to the spout edge and finial of the lid. The piece is in great condition for its age and the fact that faience chips much more easily than porcelain. There are some edge flakes to the lid and the finial tip has chipped slightly and the puce trim has flaked off mostly in that area. The piece is unmarked underneath which doesn't help at all. There is a spot whre there is some blue color that might have meant to be a mark but it is too faint and smudged to make out anything. Definitley French from this era. The piece is 4.125 inches tall at the spout tip, 7 inches from handle to spout and 4.25 inches in diameter. A really nice looking piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
