Faience Pug Dog

This is a faience or fine stoneware figurine of a pug dog (I think) made most likely in France in the 19th century. It is superbly modeled and left in the white to show off all the nice detail. Really a superb figure! Thepiece is in good condition with a small base edge chip as well as one that is mostly underneath the edge, a glaze chip to the left ear and collar ring but all in all in top shape! There is fine crazing in the glaze throughout which is normal to this type of glaze. The underside of the base is marked but I cannot make it out. Might jsut be numbers or an actual mark but I cannot tell so look at the pictures. The figurine is 4 inches tall, 2.375 inches wide and 4 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
