Sepia Scenic Saucer w/Chips

This is a nice saucer made in France and most likely the Paris region in the early 19th century. The piece is hand painted with a scene in the center in sepia tones (different shades of brown) with a gold ring around the scene and a gold trim along the edge. The area in between has lots of gold leaves scattered around. A nice saucer and typical of this region and time period. It is in good condition with a touch of wear to the gilding as well as two shallow chips to the very edge as shown. Still displays nicely and a little gilding would hide them even better. The saucer is marked underneath with an incised S or G near the foot ring. The dish is 1.125 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
