Superb Scenic Pillbox

This is a really nice pill or snuff box made in the Paris region in the mid to late 19th century. It is handpainted with a very good quality scene on the top including two ladies, a dog, a sheep and a lion monument in a landscape surrounding. All around the side of the box is a continuous really nice landscape scene, the inside lid has a ruin type scene and the inside bottom has a large floral arrangement as well as three smaller flowers handpainted in it. Nice gold color metal trim likely bronze. The quality of the painted scenes is really quite nice compared to most one sees from this period! Definitely French in origin though it is marked with a gold crown over a CT monogram likely meant to copy a Frankenthal mark. The piece is in superb condition with the only flaw being that the box closes but it doesn't stick so if you turn it over it just opens up again. No big deal and likely an easy fix if need be. The box measures 1.5 inches tall and 2.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
