French Figural Flowerpot

This is a fun figural flowerpot made in France I suspect in the 19th century. It is of a figurine on either side of a central basket. Maybe for flowers or for candy? The figures seem to be influenced by and Asian theme with flowing clothes and even the faces are not entirely European looking though the piece is definitely European. A large and heavy piece that is very well modeled. It is in great condition with no modern chips though it does have a number of large firing cracks that I showed in the pictures and a spot on the back jack and butt of the standing figure - the butt spot is from the making for sure but the chip of the jacket edge seem related to that though it might just be a chip!? On display none are seen from the front and it is a great piece escially if you imagine colorful flowers or such in the center! Sadly the piece is unmarked which makes it a lot harder to ID. The piece is 8.25 inches tall, 10 inches wide and 5.25 inches deep plus rather heavy. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
