Pre 1760 Pumpkin Creamer

This is a very early lidded creamer made by Furstenberg during the very beginning of their existence pre 1760. It has a nice shape to it - I think some sort of pumpkin or melon based design. I know they did lemaons and a few others but have never seen this design here. The piece has lots of molded details to it. The lid has a branch finial with two small leaves to it while the main body has a small leaf to the sides, a leaf to either terminal of the handle and a larger leaf covering the underside of the spout. The rest of the body has this angled relief lines design to it. Really a neat piece! Could not find anything like it in my books or online. It is in decent condition but needs some work. The handle was cleanly broken off and reglued and a large chunk of the side was broken out and restored. That has yellowed over time and needs a refresher! The lid has small chips here and there along the outer edge. The dish is marked underneath the lid with the under glaze blue script F mark as shownand the main body with an impressed 2 and two tiny impressed letter N probably a modeler's mark. Definitely an unusual and early piece! It is about 3.625 inches tall to the tip of the finial, 2.75 inches wide and 3 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
